Bandung – Candidate number 2 for the presidency, Prabowo Subianto, attended the national declaration event of the Indonesian Unity Muslim Movement Love for the Homeland (Gempita) at the Grand Sudirman Ballroom in Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday (27/12).
In his political speech, Prabowo emphasized the need for the public to be cautious of leaders who frequently make promises, especially during the ongoing political year in Indonesia.
“We do not want the wealth to be enjoyed only by a handful of Indonesian people. We already have an implementation map, not a map of dreams, not a map of mere talk,” Prabowo asserted.
He used the metaphor ‘just talk’ or ‘jutalk’ for politicians who often make promises just to achieve their goals.
“People from Eastern Indonesia call it ‘just talk,’ jutalk. When listening to promises, especially during the political season every 5 years, many promises are not fulfilled,” Prabowo said.
“Do you remember that song? What are the lyrics? A thousand promises as high as the mountains,” he continued while singing.
In order to achieve prosperity, Prabowo stated that he would gather great people in Indonesia to contribute their thoughts and experiences in building the country together.
“And I am willing to seek and invite everyone who wants to contribute their thoughts, experiences, and technology for the welfare of the nation,” Prabowo expressed.
Meanwhile, Prabowo also mentioned the downstream program, which is one of his flagship programs along with Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“The only candidate pair that dares to talk about downstream, sorry, it’s only candidate pair number 2, right? Mr. Gibran, who is called an inexperienced young man, right? He’s nothing, just because he is Jokowi’s son, he is insulted and mocked. However, in my opinion, if I were a teacher and had to give a grade, I would give a 9.9.
