Singer’s latest creation brings several new features that the company has never done before. Known as the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer, this car packs a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine that benefits from what the company has learned from the DLS and DLS Turbo programs. Singer collaborated with Cosworth to develop the engine and utilized experts at Red Bull Advanced Technologies to strengthen the redesigned 911 Type 964 chassis.
The 4.0-liter engine produces 420 horsepower and can rev up to over 8,000 rpm. This engine marks Singer’s first naturally aspirated engine to use water-cooled cylinder heads and air-cooled cylinders. It is also the first to be equipped with variable valve timing.
Naturally, power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. 18-inch center-lock wheels conceal carbon ceramic brakes, and Singer has fitted new carbon fiber bodywork that gives the 911 the stance inspired by the 1980s wide-body 911 Carrera with the Super Sport Equipment variant.
Customers can purchase both sets of bodywork for interchangeable use, and best of all, the car features pop-up headlights under the hood lid. Singer will limit production of this latest 911 to just 100 units. In typical Singer fashion, the company offers various customization options, including paint, leather, and pre-ordered materials. Customers can choose between lightweight sports seats or track seats, while drivers can view the redesigned instrument cluster with handcrafted gauges.
Singer has worked with Bosch to develop the car’s traction control system, anti-lock brakes, and electronic stability control. The car also features a four-way adjustable damping system with electronic damping control and noise reduction lift system. Therefore, the car should handle better than the base 911 it’s built upon. The Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer is the company’s latest restoration service. This is the fifth since Singer’s founding in 2009, when the company showcased its first Porsche at the Monterey Car Week.
