Jakarta – Candidate president (capres) number 2, Prabowo Subianto, visited the grave of the Habib Ali Kwitang family in Masjid Jami Al Riyadh Kwitang, Central Jakarta, on Friday (16/2).
Upon arrival, Prabowo was greeted directly by Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Alhabsyi, who is a descendant of Habib Ali Kwitang; Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani; and hundreds of Kwitang residents.
As he entered the grave area, various shouts were shouted by the enthusiastic residents of Kwitang welcoming Prabowo’s presence. He also greeted the residents and kissed the foreheads of the children present.
“Prabowo! Prabowo! Prabowo!” said some of the residents.
“President! President! President!” replied other residents.
After visiting the grave, Prabowo then visited the home of Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Alhabsyi, which is less than 200 meters from the grave of Habib Ali Kwitang.
Prabowo said that his relationship with the family of Habib Ali Kwitang is quite close, because the grandfather of Habib Ali Abdurrahman Alhabsyi was a friend of Prabowo’s parents.
“I used to visit the grave of his late grandfather, grandmother, and parents (Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Alhabsyi), coincidentally his grandfather was a friend of my parents in the past,” said Prabowo.
“His parents have always been kind to me, and I often come here,” he continued.
Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Alhabsyi is the third generation of Habib Ali Kwitang. The father of Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman is Habib Abdurrahman bin Muhammad.
Then the father of Habib Abdurrahman bin Muhammad is Habib Muhammad bin Ali Alhabsyi, who is a friend of Prabowo’s father, Soemitro Djojohadikusumo. And the father of Habib Muhammad bin Ali Alhabsyi is Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman, who is familiarly known as Habib Ali Kwitang. (SENOPATI)
